to get this off my msn nick, which has been on for the past 3-4 days and received the following results that
14 vote that tomato is a fruit
and 2 that it is a vegetable.

plus many insightful comments from various pple abt how tomato is a fruit, but was misclassified by america in the past so as to evade taxes while trading that were for some reason imposed on fruits and not vegetables.

still the funniest comment i got about it was..(identity protected to spare the person from embarrassment ahaha)

me: yes so your vote is for..?
X: tomato lah!
it took me abt 30 seconds to figure that he thought tomato; fruit or vegetable was a 3-choose-1 question.

following which X attempted to redeem his lack of knowledge that a ';' separates a related sentence while a ',' separates a separate subject matter.

X: cherry tomato is a fruit! big tomatoes are vegetables!
me: so small humans and big humans are classified differently..? hahaha

on a separate note, tomatoes are a good source of vitamin C, which functions as an antioxidant and cofactor of enzymes for hydroxylation cross linking to form procollagen..good for your skin and bones..bchem brainwashing.
