timeout.

yesterday was a pretty nice day..albeit long but fulfilling in some sense. i woke up rather early at 7.45am and couldnt get back to sleep..so..first disc of prison break was on =) haha. its quite interesting and xueting says that the more i watch it, the more i'd think michael scoffield is very cool. we'll see.

spent the day out with pple im close to, so it was nice and relaxing =) haha i think that's the thing abt socialising. it comes very naturally with pple youre close to, pple youre comfortable with. there's no need to upkeep a pretense of smiles because it just comes so naturally, conversations just flow in fluidity and it's just great to know you can laugh off almost anything, about yourself, about the other person, and of course, laughing it off with each other.

went to the library around late afternoon too..and it was just nice having moments of solitude, tucked away between two large bookshelves at the back of the 2nd storey..with the gentle aircon breeze engulfing you..and a good book on your lap.
..okay that was until some librarian came to nag at me for sitting between shelves. haha. i wasnt even blocking anyone. oh wells.

quiet time with God was just about the best thing of the day. if you ask me whats the main difference between a christian and a non-christian..it's not that the former believes in God and the latter doesnt, because there are manymany atheists out there who believe innately that God exists, that heaven and hell are real.

what really makes all the difference, apart from having secured a place in heaven for eternity through the saving grace of Jesus Christ, apart from having moral values grounded in the fruits of the Spirit, is really, having a relationship with God.

being able to escape to that secret place of just being with Christ (not physically of course), telling Him about each day, the joys, the pains, the dreams, knowing that He understands best because He created you..and that in God we can find the simplest solutions to the most challenging things in life..i dont really know how to describe it. it's just something so wonderful that you've gotta experience for yourself.

being able to pray for things, for pple, that are aligned in the will of God and knowing in rested assurance that He will honour the prayer as His promises say in Matt 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

knowing that God has things in store for your future, great things..as said in Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

the grace of God extends to all. interested?
