in the morning i decided i shldnt be lazy and so i went for good friday service :)
service wasnt anything spectacular from the norm but somehow holy communion felt a little more meaningful than usual today. the partaking of the bread and wine (not real wine, just ribena haha) was somehow more symbolic on this day that Jesus died for all our sins more than 2000 years ago. holy communion signifies the act of bring Jesus into us, together as one body of Christ..and today it dawned upon me that as we do that, we are inviting His judgement to be upon us too..and that as much as possible we should refrain from sin and develop more self control in many facets of our lives.

several thoughts ran through my mind today. like what my life would be like without Christ, and to be honest, i don't even want to start to consider the possibilities. it reinforced in me, how much i need Him, how much He has done and is still doing and will always be doing in my life. Amen to that.

after service i went out with rach's cell..rach, katie, jasmine, fiona and cheuk, to the restaurant in woodgrove called Josh&Joey's, which eileen works at on fridays. it's quite an ulu restaurant, with a very calm and peaceful ambience, and according to eileen, it was named after the boss' two sons. so cute (: hahaa. we ordered A LOT of food without realizing it, and since the restaurant was rather empty, and we are eileen's good friends, we got quite a lot of freebies and discounts too. free soup, calamari rings, garlic bread and cheese cake. wheee. and free flow of ice mango tea :D we all ate so much that we could barely walk after that. not to mention, my whole week of exercising officially went down the drain. but nonetheless, YUMMM. good food, good service, good company(: thank God.

gonna accomplish lots of work this weekend! no more slacking and procrastinating!
