the morning run
for the first time in a gazillion years, i actually dragged myself out of bed and went for a morning run around the neighbourhood. at 8am. wanted to go with vid initially, but that pig slept through my futile wake up calls. hurhur. so i ended up going alone.
met some other morning runners..all of which were of the elder category. sometimes i think that the elderly puts the young to shame when it comes to discipline in exercising regularly.
anyway here the story goes of my lovely morning run. there was this ahpek wearing a yellow shirt running infront of me...rather slowly. so after awhile i managed to overtake him. not that i purposely intended to but i think he took it otherwise. he began to run faster..and faster..and faster after that. and for about a distance of 400m, he was literally breathing down my neck and panting away uber heavily right behind. seriously it got quite freaky. i was on the verge of turning behind to invite him to overtake me.
but he did anyway. zoooooooom. i dont know how guys do it; but somehow they manage to. he picked up so much speed that within about 30seconds, he was about 20m infront of me. O.O
cheers to the ahpeks.
after about a 3-4km run (not very good at estimating distance), i went to the fitness park to do some exercises. situps..dips..then i dont know why. but i suddenly felt very very cold. initially i thought it was the wind blowing and my sweat drying up so i tried wiping and wiping but to no avail. decided it was best to make my way home then and so i began walking.
the world began to black out infront of me. you know, that type of blackness which impairs your vision and slowly makes the world infront of you gradually fade away? it was quite scary. for a few times i wondered if i wld actually make it back home. maybe i shldnt have ran so much after not running for such a long time. stopped at least 3 times along the way to bend down to regain vision.
thank God i finally made it back home. my mom was probably disgusted that i didnt instantly bathe and wash up after the sweaty run; but that was least of my concerns. sheeeeesh.
ive learnt. its time to exercise more regularly! ughh. more morning runs. yj said toa payoh stadium opens at 430am. hahaha cool. maybe one day i shall go for a true blue morning run at like 5/6am and run till the sun rises ^^ sounds cool rite.
on a side note...at around noon, while i was reading photosynthesis notes (and for the first time, actually understanding it proper), a message came in.
"Hey good morning i just woke up. Sorry. Must have been a really deep sleep.. You called me 3 times? Err sorry ya =)"
LOL. a true pig indeed :p
