got back from casting crowns concert at EFC about an hour and half ago..and it was good! :) went there with david and we missed the shuttle bus and had to wait for it to loop round..but still managed to get there on time. yay

casting crowns started off by playing lifesong..which is about the only song i really know from their albums =X hahaha then another song..and the lead singer did quite a bit of sharing, first it was abt this teen girl who made some grevious mistakes and went to their church in the USA..and the song was abt how, though she was in church, she was still misunderstood and not accepted by the other teens there..

today i found out casting crowns has a couple of songs which are written abt real life stories..yupp and the above was one of them. the sharing made me think abt how we all know by heart that we are to love all as Christ loved us, with an unconditional type of love. but yet subconsciously, we still tend to judge pple silently..like getting frustrated when someone wears something very revealing to church..or when someone gets involved in alcohol or drugs. hmm. i think he hit the point very accurately..often we do jump to conclusions too quickly and detest even slight actions of pple..as much as we dont show it outrightly..

there was also short sharings about how we need to be broken before we can fully depend on Christ, because it is when we are weak that we realize we need Him. as the beautitudes go in matthew "blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven to inherit"..it means that those who realize and acknowledge that they need God, will receive Him. praise God, for in our imperfections, He is magnified.

overall, it was a very different concert from the other ones like parachute band..but good :) ministered to me and everyone else too very well.

at the end of it, david and i missed the shuttle bus back AGAIN. gosh..lol

okay cell chalet tmrw! with minimalist packing in hand..i pray it will go fine..haha
